has the setup changed in any way. what lighting are you using (if any)

with the filter running you will keep the water at a reasonable temperature for them. they can withstand freezing water so would never need a heater indoors. if you decide to go that route then set at minimum setting.
other posters will advise on other ways for bringing them into a breeding state using different temps.

The toads are keeping me up at night with their LOUD croaking . I thought the brown one was a girl but it croaks , so I have two males .

The room I want to move them to is not connected to the house heater but it is insulated . In the winter it gets to low 60's upper 50's .

I'm thinking if I get the water heater and cover most of the top of the tank , it will stay in the 70's inside the tank .

I'm using more water now , so thinking heating the water will keep the rest of the tank warm .
