I still have to remove the Whisper box (I was just using it as extra support for the pot on the back wall until it has had a couple days to glue), and in a couple days I'll add the water, but otherwise my tank is done.

Looks good! I love the look of old ruins so I love how you added the old statues and pieces. I'm currently sketching up plans for 2 builds inspired by Ta Prohm.

Here's a few more pics. I added water today, and turned on the air pump and filters. I believe there is a tiny hole; it took a very, very long time but I notice the very bottom of the soil getting wet. I'll just have to keep the water level below the acrylic, instead of on the same line.

The waterfall looks good and I like the airstones. I have to do a little bit of work on the canister filter to make it work properly.

I also added a fluffy ruffles fern to the land area. It's Thomas' fault.

I absolutely remember you speaking of fluffy ruffles and buttons. You like both together.

Oh, and we also talked about plants.

OOOH, WHAT?! I do not remember this!! Is there another Thomas on this forum? Show yourself other Thomas who likes fluffy ruffles and buttons!! Personally, I prefer the Monstrous Fern of Death, it's a much manlier sounding fern, don't you think?

I remember the mention of the tiger stripe fern I have in the tank, but I believe the main reason you liked it was the nice contrast of color and that you can incorporate it into a theme.

Hey, tigers are very manly creatures . I'm telling you! Tiger fern in the Tiger salamander tank would be cool!

Elaine, I came to this thread late... But by the look of your tank, better late than ever. It looks fantastic!

    Thanks Eric!

So I have to have the water level about half an inch lower than what I want, but it's not bad at all. The water, unfortunately, has a little color to it. I assume from the hole. There's no soil in the water though, and I have the canister filter working now, so I'm hoping that will take care of it. It's a little clearer today.

Otherwise, I really like the look of my tank.

The tank looks great! All your hard work paid off... hope we get to see photos once the frogs get in there. I hadn't thought of lining with river rocks that's an excellent idea and so natural.

Thank you! I really love the rocks too. I'll try to get a pic once I put the frog in.
