Milk frogs and UV lights........

Hi,

I have just got home with my 2 new Amazon Milk Frogs and I thought I had everything set up for them but now i'm confused!! They are teeny tiny which is what I expected so they are starting off in a smaller tank, but the guy that sold them to me (I really like this guy, he's great with reptiles) has told me never to use UV lights with them . I'm confused because I have read in loads of places that they need the light for vitamin D3 to absorb calcium.

What do you guys use/recommend?
Also can I use Zolcal-D or will this be bad too??

I believe frogs can benefit from UV exposure, especially treefrogs. After discussing it with some folks at the ABG, I am more convinced that they do receive some benefits from it.

Is this just for milk frogs, or have you completely changed your opinion from the time you use to criticize people who liked using UV lights with their frogs? I'm just curious what new evidence you have come across.
