    I honestly can't remember where my interest in them started anymore. LOL I do remember at first I too thought they would be a hard to get species, if not than a species not kept in the trade.

    For me, it was their size, and I enjoy watching them eat.

    I first saw one at the Louisville Zoo when I was a teen and thought they just looked crazy being so big....I loved the way the skin looked sort of like armor, very different from most other frogs.

    i seen one on a wildlife programe it was at a zoo and the size of a dinner plate i thought ive got to have one,

    When I saw my frog Donnie at the pet shop... he looked like a cutie pa tootie... i couldnt resist his soft skin, Green buger color, adorable face and those puffy lil cheeks of his!!!!

    always loved big fat frogs and never had any luck with pacman frogs - they alway died on me till one day someone told me that pixie frogs are bigger and hardier so i bought a pixie and will never look at pacmans again
