A question on shipping

I got a book called The horned frog family and African bullfrogs, and it says that if you get your pacman frog or frogs off the internet, you need to go to the airport to pick them up. And it also said you need to sign a sheet of some kind. Is that true? If you know, just say so below. Oh and fell free to post pictures.

Hi! I have that book. Buying over the internet is much easier than that! Most vendors will ship next day air or similar, and the parcel goes straight to your door. You will need to be home to receive the parcel, or you will void any vendor guarantees on the health of the animal. Also, some vendors will not ship when outside temps are too high or low, or they will ship, but you assume all risk. Definitely ask about their policies. Of course, its also buyer beware - Kingsnake.com has some very interesting animals listed but some vendors are better than others !!!! Look for well-established reputable companies or individuals, especially (IMHO) those who breed their own animals.

PS. Most good vendors will cooperate with you on shipping date, so that you can arrange to be home when the animal arrives...
