Our poor Ollie (White's Dumpy Tree Frog) needs HELP!! His front finger must have gotten caught under the lids of his tank ... it looked shriveled up at first and has now fallen off. I have been applying neosporin for the past 2 weeks and he seemed to be healing well. He has taken a turn for the worse and now seems to be seeping blood from the wound area and has brown spots on his belly. What do I do?? I am a first time frog owner (this was a gift for my daughter) and we are just devastated... is it too late, or can we take him to the vet??? i did not realize there were vets for frogs... we are big animal lovers here, just had NO clue about frogs... please help!!
I would see the vet as soon as possible.
Hopefully others have some ideas to help stop the bleeding.
Oh poor guy. Take him in. Probably infection or something. Ollie get better soon. maybe cutting back on humidity will help till you get vet. Maybe it's a scab that keeps getting moist. But still go in, is he eating and everything?
How's ollie? Did u take him in? Did the toe stop bleeding? Keep in touch
