I brought a Albino pacman back in july 2010 and it was the size of a quarter. I was wondering if anyone could help me sex him/her. It doesnt seem to have noticeable pads on its thumbs and it does have slight dark spots on its throat. It really doesnt croak like normal pacmans its more of a squeeky croak if anything. With all these things im thinking that it is a male but i could be wrong and would like as much help as possible. Thanks
I could be wrong, but I think its a girl. The skin around the throat looks too "tight" to be a male - males have baggy throats. In addition, females can vocalize to some extent - they don't have mating calls and will not sit there tooting away - but they can squeak and growl. If it is not calling (Thomas the Tank Engine) at this point/size, I'd personally be surprised if it was male...
What is the SV length?
Its right around 4 inches a little bigger then that. I was looking at the throat and it is tight, the reason i thought it was male it squeeks for a while at a time but it doesnt make the thomas the tank type calls.
idk wat sex it is but sick tat's
Heres a thread i posted that people replied with pics

Pic of our albinos nuptial pads. Theyre really obvious. When our guys call, you walk over to them and their vocal sac is really hangin'.

@myles thanks, i have around 40 tats its a expensive hobby.
@john Thanks for the info, with all that useful info i really think i have a female, she doesnt seem to have the pads and the throat skin is way to tight even tho it has spots. Is it normal for females to squeek and make noises like high pitched noises for minutes at a time? Thats were i got confused about the sexing of it.
I think they can when they are annoyed/threatened. I think it looks female as well.
When I looked at the pictures, i saw some black dots on its chin. From that I am guessing its a male. I do not know for sure and I am not an expert. Did anyone else take that as a clue on what sex it is?
@whiffer that's the reason I thought It was a male because of the dark spots on it's chin. But it doesn't have the pads on it's thumbs and nor does it make Thomas the tank style croaking. It squeaks mainly when I pick it up and put it back in the tank while it's burrowing a hole to hide. Could it be that it's to young and the pads aren't visible? Or do I have a female.
it could be a female. we will just have to wait and see.
Its a female. odds are 90 to 10 as it being male.
i could be wrong but my best guess would be female
prolly female if it grew to that size that quick and the head is smallish as well as the throat
probs a female...sick ink but
Females have very white throats ( with dark pattern spots ) Males have grey throats ( with dark pattern spots.)... If you're not sure if its throat is white or grey, it is probably grey because the white is very white.
Thanks everyone for your help and thanks for the compliments on the tattoos
No its the frog making the noises, It usually makes them when its burrowing down and trying to get comfy. Thats the only time it ever makes any kind of noises
