Well it's true!! I was 2 weeks over. Anyway, she got off forum real quick after that, I just wanted her to give it time. Never got to tell her there were many generations raised up on this stuff, and it's just created good character. I'm glad u told her to dip the cricket, I would've had no idea. Did u like the visual of using the tablespoon? Not to mention the un-intentual one. But the stuff is powerfull!!!
I was a kid in the 60s and 70s and mom knew this too ;-)

No offense to DonLisk or GingerLee's advice but you actually had KURT respond to your post and you "dissed" him. Kurt is "THE MAN" when it comes to tree frogs. He asked you a honest question and you accused him of being rude. Asking "what exactly is warm water to you"? is a very legitimate question and should not have been so quickly dismissed. Kurt has an incredible reputation here on this forum and has earned every ounce of it. Notice all the little "cubes" by his name and his 6000 posts...there's a reason for that. When Kurt or John responds to a post of mine I consider it an honor....and listen to their advice.

I "dissed" him? What I said was not intended as a "dis"m I in no way meant to offend him. and I do value his reputation AND his knowledge on this forum. What I asked for was advice, and clearly he did not give it to me.
The way he worded his post is what upset me, it was not the fact that he responded. I do not understand why he had to underline the word "exactly" in his post and act like I didn't know what I was doing. I value Kurt and John's opinions greatly, but I do not enjoy being treated like a child because I asked for help.
If he had, in fact, given me advice about the subject I posted this thread about, how to fix my frog's constipation, I would have followed it and thanked him for his reply and his help. But what he said was not helpful to me, so I wouldn't really call it advice.
If he didn't mean it to be rude, and he told me that I was mistaken in the way I took what he said I would've apologized right away, but since he has not responded I will take what he said as the way I read it until he tells me different.
Please don't think I've underestimated Kurt's knowledge. When Bruce was first sick I was instructed by members of this forum to PM Kurt, John, and Paul about it to see if they could help me. Kurt responded with instructions and I thanked him for his response. I know very well that he is an expert, I am not saying he isn't, I am just a little put off by the way he responded to this particular thread.
If he has worded his question a little less harshly, which isn't hard, I wouldn't have responded the way I did. How hard is it to ask "Do you think you're making the water a little too warm?" Instead of wording it the way he did? If anyone on this forum had said that to me, expert or not, I would have replied promptly the same way, in not a little ruder, in fact.
Sorry to Don and Ginger and anyone else who is reading this thread and had to sit through this, I in no way intended for this problem to become personal, I only wanted to defend myself from what I thought was rudeness.

Oh, and by the way what you quoted there about "more experienced members of this forum" was in no way related to what Kurt said and what I said to Kurt. This quote was a joke in response to what Don said about growing up in the 60s and 70s. I know reading it there it may sound like I was referring to what Kurt said and being sarcastic, But I can assure you I am not. I'm sorry if you misunderstood this, I in no way was trying to offend anyone.
I like frogs. I like frogs. I like frogs. (Spins around three times)
Oh man, I was hoping when I opened my eyes I had more frogs.
Has Bruce pooped yet? Hoping so.

I got mineral oil, not castor. I noticed at the store that they're too different things, one is called an "intestinal lubricant" and the other (castor) was a straight up laxative, so I got the weaker one just in case. I don't wanna hurt his little belly.
The vet told me I could use the syringe I used for when I was giving him thew antibiotics and fill it to the 1 ml line. (I think it's ml, I'm not 100% sure though, but I will try Don's idea.)
So it's not safe to dip more than one cricket? Should I just do one and leave it and wait and see what happens? It says on the back of mineral oil bottle that it takes 6 to 8 hours for the effects to kick in.
