calcium powder is important. And there's allot of cricket food recipies on here. But I do fruit and veggie plus fish food. I also give them Asian treat of bonito( dried fish flake and seeweed) but there's other forms of protien for them , like cat food. Use the internal search engine here and u will find answers to many questions.

I gut load my crickets with Fluker's cricket quencher and also throw in any veggies I happen to have lying around for a little extra boost, right now I have romaine lettuce, potato, and celery. I heard that feeding crickets veggies like spinach and tomato is bad, though I'm sure exactly why, but you should stay away from those. I think I will be upgrading to Fluker's orange cubes though as opposed to the cricket quencher because it has more vitamins.

I'm mostly a newbie too so don't take my word for it, just thought I'd give you something else to work off of.

Which pet store do you go to for food? And if your frog is more than 2 inches long he SHOULD be able to eat the medium sized crickets, depending on what store you use and how big their "medium" crickets actually are.

I've read that the crickets can be as big as the space between your frogs eyes and should be no bigger, so you can use that as a measuring tool if you want.

Also, I'm not sure if you know this but make sure not to feed him TOO many meal worms, they're high in fat and their hard outer shell can be hard for frogs to digest. I use them as treats only for my WTF.

I feed my crickets orange cubes (flukers), fish flakes and collard greens and other veggies. My Vet says Collard greens is very nutritious to give to crickets. I also dust the crickets 3 times a month with Reptocal , But my frogs are older 8 and 5. I do feed my older one, a frozen pinkie mouse covered in a vitamin booster my vet gave me once a month. I don't suggest feeding them pinkie mice. My vet had me do this since he kept getting these really nasty infections. You can also give your frogs earthworms. My frogs totaly freaked out and would not eat them.
