    all right - - -yay!!!!!!!!!!

I have to ask a question first - - when you moved the eggs, did they get exposed to air? If so then they will probably not hatch.

If not, then here is what you need...

    a heater - set to 79*F
    a thermometer
    an aerator set on low

that is all you need to put in the tadpole tank

now get some Reptomin sticks and FINELY crush/ground them. ACF Tadpoles FILTER feed, which means all of their food must be very very fine.

Once all the tadpoles are free swimming (they cling to the walls like little silver teardrops first) then you can start feeding them. sprinkle a little powder on the water surface 2-3 times a day.

Supplement a few feedings with what I call "Bloodworm Broth" -- -defrost a cube of bloodworm in a cup of tank water. Then put it in the blender and press "liquify". Let it blend for at least 45 seconds, if you can see any bloodworm chunks blend again. Remove all other chunks and pour the mix into the tank. Do this a few hours before your daily water change.

If you are feeding too much you will notice that the water will be cloudy a few hours after feeding, this is a sign to cut back.

Do a daily 20% waterchange, replace with temp-matched, dechorinated water very very slowly. Siphon water out with airline tubing so you can contol the suck and do not accidentally siphon up a tadpole.
Still, always check the bucked of sucked out tank water before discarding - look for tiny eyes swimming around.

They will do a complete morph in 8-12 weeks. Every batch has its own timeframe and every tadpole will go at its own pace. They will bud whiskers, then back legs, then front legs. After they have had their front legs a few days they will start to absorb their tails. They do not eat during this time so cut back on feeding amount.

oh no, the eggs were stuck to all the plants and stuff, and i read somewhere the frogs will eat the eggs (what i thought i have read anyway) , was a surprise this morning so i just seperated them fast by pulling the plants out and into another tank so they have been exposed to air!? Does this mean they will not hatch? First time this has happened and it was a total surprise.

I hope all goes well with them and you have a nice big tank of clawed frogs in the next couple of months. Best of luck with them, I would give you advice but i think jenste is the best person to tell you how to raise these little guys.

    yay I am so excited!!!

If you have any eggs left over, unless they have morphed into the "c" shape by now, they are going to be unfertilized - - best to remove them soon. They will quickly start rotting and will throw off your water quality for the tadpoles

are they still clinging to the walls? any freeswimming yet?

do you have an aerator in the tank?
what temp is your heat set to?
do you have food prepared for them?

Just a few questions to help you raise your babies

are there any visable signs of rotting eggs?
and they are still clinging to the walls. I have them in a spare, small tank, (going to get an appropiate tadpole tank at the weekend) so i need to make sure i get a thermometer etc.
Last night (when i noticed the tadpoles) i gave them the bloodbroth you advised me on just for the fact that was all i had. At the petshop they have something literally called 'tadpole food' which im planning on buying (dont really get paid til friday unfortunately )

I must admit i feel horrible, i really wasnt expecting these tadpoles so i was so unready for them, and they my first lot, but im very willing to try my best!
