So i've had my pac-man frog luffy for about 2 month's i got him from josh's frogs and he's an amazing frog, he's been eating great but he hasn't pooped in about a week in a half i took him to the vet but they dont know anything. Im starting to get really worried i have him on moist paper towels to see if he poops but nothing i feed him nightcrawlers and dusted crickets and i also got the vet to X-Ray him and there was no impaction. And also i just found a tiny dot that looked like blood were his butt was i dont know if it could be a prolapsed cloaca or what. PLEASE HELP!!!!![]()
If he is still acting normal and eating, I would worry less. I would suggest a gentle, just warm enough, soak. See if anything develops.
But, again, if he is acting ok. Then just observe.
If your pacman is pooping every 4-6 weeks, that's normal. Sometimes they might poop earlier sometimes they might take a bit longer, but as long as your frog doesn't appear bloated, your pacman shouldn't be impacted.
I usually take my pacman out and put him in a warm soak every month and leave him there for about an hour and he usually poops, either in the water or when I take him out. The movement and handling usually gets them to poop.
thank you guys so much ive been stressing myself out about it![]()
What is the temperature in the enclosure? Increasing the temperature a little can help. I had a similar issue with my pac man but when I raised the temp it got right back on track.
Nick hit the nail on the head. It's about that warmth. Water helps too but I would raise the temps to prevent it from happening again.
