Mealworms are very hard to digest with their hard exoskeleton. Freshly molted ones are safe though(white ones that are soft).

The tongs could hurt him if he bites hard enough but generally speaking he should be all right.

About how much to feed, I would feed him as much as he will eat in 15 minutes. That's what John recommends for pyxies and I employ it with pacs too.
