    Default Which supplement

I've been looking around for supplements to coat crickets with for whites tree frog and im not sure which brand is best. I also found not only powdered froms but spray forms as well.
Will the sprays drown the crickets?
I'm deathly afraid of crickets..so the only way i can "deal" with them is to put the bag in the fridge for a few minutes so they stop moving, then i can put them in the cage and within minutes they start jumping like freaks lol. So i will have to dust them quick before they wake up
I had bullfrogs some years ago and this is the only way i can feed them lol
just not sure what supplements brand is best

    Hello and welcome.
I use Herptivite and Rep-Cal. I alternate between the two on each feeding.

    Josh's Frogs - herptivite multivitamin - vitamins/supplements

    Josh's Frogs - rep-cal ultrafine calcium with vitamin d3 - vitamins/supplements

I use Repashy ICB+Calcium (that's one product). ICB stands for Instant Cricket Balancer. You can get that product from several of our sponsors (I know Alpha Pro and Josh's both carry it).

Would it be too much to both dust the crickets as well as gut-load them? Or would that actually be the better thing to do?

I don't use supplements every feeding turn on my adult specimens,
i think a wide variety of feeder insects may be even more important.
Every insect has it's own nutritious values.

When i do supplement, i use Herpetal Amphib and Dendrocare on turns

I also use UV above my cages to supply them a natural vitamine D3 source.
For the small ones i use lots of springtails and woodlice, since those are packed with vitamine D2.

Anyway, this works for me, but it is mostly done by feeling and satisfying results.
I'm not aware of any scientific research on the needs of vitamines and minerals with different species of frogs.
