Hello, I just purchased a sweet little White's Tree Frog from PetSmart (U.S. pet store chain), as a gift to my six year-old daughter.
He is about an inch long and deposits a brown gelatinous lump in his/her water dish every day. The lump is about 1/2 inch long, half the length of the frog. Is this frog waste? If so, it's a surprisingly large amount for such a small frog! It looks like it could be an egg clutch, but I doubt a frog this young lays eggs and if so, not every day?
The frog lives alone in a 10-gallon terrarium and eats several small crickets every day. He seems happy, although when it gets chilly he turns brown. Once his light is turned on he's green again. (I say "he," but really we've no idea).
Thank you for any advice!
Jennifer
