Default Question about my new White's Tree Frog

Hello, I just purchased a sweet little White's Tree Frog from PetSmart (U.S. pet store chain), as a gift to my six year-old daughter.
He is about an inch long and deposits a brown gelatinous lump in his/her water dish every day. The lump is about 1/2 inch long, half the length of the frog. Is this frog waste? If so, it's a surprisingly large amount for such a small frog! It looks like it could be an egg clutch, but I doubt a frog this young lays eggs and if so, not every day?
The frog lives alone in a 10-gallon terrarium and eats several small crickets every day. He seems happy, although when it gets chilly he turns brown. Once his light is turned on he's green again. (I say "he," but really we've no idea).
    Thank you for any advice!
    Jennifer

ya, that's poo. Just make sure to clean bowl everyday. Mine deposit all over cage. Be glad yours is in usual place. There's a good care sheet to left. But there's no way to sex them till after they're a year or so. Cool u got a baby one, they grow fast, expect a 3 inch frog within a few months. Best of luck, welcome to forum

Congratulations Jennifer it sounds like you have a healthy frog. Eating and pooping is half the battle. It is nice of him to keep his poop in one spot for you. I have a red eye that poops on the front glass in the same spot everyday. Then it runs down the glass. what can you do? Just clean out his water bowl every morning. As he gets bigger you'll want to move him up to a bigger tank and get him a friend.

LOL Cheri.... You'll enjoy the new Whites Jennifer. My granddaughter got a surprise the other day as she was watching one of mine on the leaf of a bromalaid and it pee'd straight at the glass towards her.... she was in awe. Had to show everyone the glass and tell the tale. It was definitely funny.
