I have finally ventured into the viv building hobby; my previous enclosures were little more than coco substrate and premade refugia so this is a new thing for me. I will admit that my fiance is an avid Dendrobate collector and makes lots of vivariums, but its time for this baby bird to spread his wings and FLY!!! Anyway, The base is a 12x12x18 zoomed with GS background. The texture is a mixture of frog moss and coco substrate adhered by the GS and hot glue. Grapewood features were secured by excising the foam and securing with hot glue (first pic). For the ground I also used around 3 inches ofcoco substrate over 3/4" plastic paneling and a layer of fiberglass screen. Mini-brom, phalanopsis, selegenellum, creeping fig and fern for the flora and carpet/sheet moss on exposed substrate. As I stated in my introduction post, limited soace and experience prevented me from installing an active water feature, so a stationary dish will have to do. Occupancy?... I was thinking maybe clown or hourglass but am unsure about the amount of space; maybe some climbing mantellas?
Looks AWESOME! I love the background....what are you planning on putting in there?
