    Default Hello

    Hi all,

Just introducing myself as requested. I'm a vet with a particular interest in amphibians, amongst other things - I own 2 painted frogs which came in as stowaways in someone's luggage (one missing an eye and a foot), and one horned frog (which was dumped on me with severe metabolic bone disease), amongst lots of other waifs and strays!

    Bruce.

Welcome Bruce. It's really great to see you here. I have to ask though, how does one treat MBD?

    Hi, and thanks for welcomes,

MBD treatment is basically similar to reptiles (initial anti-inflammatories and supprtive treatments as necessary, lots of oral calcium, and some oral D3), with radiographic monitoring of progress.

    Cheers,

    Bruce.
