I been hand feeding, I'm scared my whites will eat some moss. But i think their board of sitting and waiting for food. I see alot of people use feeder bowls, but how many people don't? Is this just pure paranoia?
I don't use a feeder bowl and my Phyllomedusa sauvagii do just fine. As for your White's eating moss, I don't think you have too much to worry about. Any moss they might consume would just pass right through their system. I personally think it might be better for them to actively hunt for their food.
I don't use a feeder bowl, I just remove anything the crickets are able to hid under or behind, and shift anything that could block Bruce from getting to them (like the fake plants I have in the corners) and dump them in. It takes him an agonizing amount of time to catch them because he has to sit perfectly still and wait for the crickets to come to him before he'll pounce, but it's just about the only exercise he gets so I'm glad he gets the chance to at least move around a little bit, but my guy is fat and lazy so...yeah. XD
I hope I can hand feed him one day, maybe when he's more used to me and the crickets don't freak me out so much. >>
