I have several kinds of frogs and some koi in this little pond. There is snow everywhere. I keep a heat lamp clamped to the rock near the little beach to keep a hole in the ice. Last year, same thing with great success. However, this year, there are at least four frogs sitting under that lamp not hibernating! Should I feed them?
I would. My pacman frog is eating-I live in utah where it is cold over the winters so yes I would feed them if they were my frogs just in case.
As long as they are warm enough to digest food go for it. If they can't digest it rots in their stomach if they are too cold. I imagine they could maybe be eating things they find in the pond. Depending on where you live too. You could just be having areally warm winter.
I am worried that it is too cold fo them to digest. The pond has been iced over for about 3 weeks except for where the heat lamp is. Today is the first time I saw them, though.
