    Flying frogs belong to the family Rhacophoridae and genus Rhacophorus. On Ryukyu Islands, which Okinawa is a part of, there are two subspecies, Rhacophorus v. viridis and R. v. amamiensis and another species R. owstoni. Most likely it is R. viridis ssp.
