Mine does the same thing, the only thing I came up with is it is cold. I try to keep his enclosue warm and humid and when I spray him down the water (at room temperature) is a few degrees cooler.

Another thought, I woke him up. If I was sleeping and all of a sudden I was getting sprayed with water I would freek. ***2cents***
