I read somewhere, maybe even on these forums, that you can clean the tank completely every 3-6 months (remove substrate, rinse fake plants and such in hot water, clean everywhere, etc). As for other kinds of cleaning in-between I'm not sure... I should probably look that up, too. Good husbandry is what can possibly get 20+ years out of these guys

Still worried about the frog yawning but I haven't caught him doing it again. I released a couple crickets in his terrarium - I tried to dangle them in front of him but lost grip on the tongs :-/ He appeared to be actively hunting them for a bit... lol, he somehow managed to slowly follow one off of a high branch and into some fake shrubbery that was very tightly packed near the glass. I swore he was gonna get stuck, he's so fat but he made it through and twisted upside down on the bottom and then pulled himself right side up. He never caught the crickets though as far as I can tell, though who knows. I'll be combing for poop.

He spent 80% of the night just chillin in his water bowl. I actually imitated some croaking with my own voice while looking at him and he croaked right back!! It was awesome! Later, I was vacuuming the front room (late night vacuuming) and as soon as I turned it off I heard him croaking longer and louder than ever from the other room. Somehow I think the sound of the vacuum inspired him

I still worry, what with the food situation... I may need to get him to sleep on the top of the glass today by placing him there if he doesn't go up by himself, I need to see if I can find those two crickets - whether they're being wily or they were eaten.
