    Default Interesting pixie pictures

    Hey Guys...
I got a hair and bought 3 traditional green giants from a local pet store. I have enclosed 2 pictures of what I want you to see...
These are from the same batch originally but, were fed a different diet completely since they were first acquired by the pet store . The larger one was given a diet of nothing but a pink every other day. The other 3-4 crickets every other day. Look at the size difference!
I bought them last night and have fed them twice, as many crickets as they could eat ( which was a lot, they were starving hungry ) with a separate dusting of vitamins with D3 and, calcium. I have them on 85-90 degrees, belly heat, for safe digestion. They are gonna be great Im excited to watch them grow into nice healthy fat frogs. Just thought it was interesting and wanted to share.
Also, sex is always important! But, I am curious as to what people think of the larger frogs sex as well ... Thoughts?

ill tell you but, first I have a question... When measuring, do you just put them next to a ruler and go from point to point or, do you put one end on its butt and go across its back to it nose. Both seem plausible but, give different readings. Whats the standard??

Kevin, that was my thought too. We will have to see.

I have seen many species of reptiles fed a very high 'meat' diet and grow fast and HUGE, ..... BUT .... in the end, they all live much shorter lives. Usually dying from liver failure due to the fat content. So, I think it comes down to a husbandry issue.

Just put a ruler or measuring tape next to it.
