oh Paul. I missed u. Vet said they were horseshoe shaped and had to check refrences. One site said the eggs live in viv for 2 years. Like bleach won't kill them. Omg!!!! I need wormed too!!!!:@ I live 2 hours away from vet and tried to have him send med in mail after I weigh frog. But he wants me to drive them down there in sub zero temps. I don't even know how far I'd have to drive for a real exotics vet. Please tell me stage 3 doesn't look like a horse shoe.

Hookworm eggs hatch and the adults develop in the soil, if the feces are old or the worms are in the soil, you could possibly get some. Eggs are passed in the feces and if the vet saw horseshoe shapes, it was likely eggs or not hookworms at all. Sounds like you need a good vet.

oh my god, I love u, r my vet. U could come here and give classes to many wana bee's. I was hoping it was just jaws to waxworms. There are no others. I called all day for vets in Chippewa and eau claire. I'm going to order the worker u suggested. But atleast I'm not going to have to deworm me and my son. Fecies was fresh, but kinda dry. Sat outside of cage for 5 r so hours. Until I found vet, same1 who tested, who told me to seal in bag. So should I use bleach vinigar or salt for best 1st cleaning. Had them 3 weeks. Do I have to move them after worming? Deep clean each time? And please tell me that's the only one they can go through skin!!!

And I wana say I'm sorry to every1 I bothered all night long. Couldn't sleep after googling hookworms. No reference, exept one that said throw out your viv and everything in it. Scared me to death. And sorry for crappy spelling, iPhone can only spellcheck 5 letter words. And no Picts , guna have my friend do that. I have no pc. This is my first forum, chat, anything. Ya, I'm lame, no face book, I have enough to do. I have like 3 more questions, could be here all day!! Nagh!! If I calcium dust the moist can cricks they are totaly white, too much calcium is bad, I hand feed. Should I dust much lighter or less often? And I've had that viv covered for 3 weeks on all 4 sides(good ventalation, humidity drops 5% everyday and filled with live plants) how should I grad get them used to my loft style home? Pull up slowly1 inch a week? No quiet room here. And lastly, the cleaning for worms. All plants in low pots with just repti bark. No poo landed in pots. And again, many mahalos, I'm so gratefull. I will post Picts after Xmas

Don't be sorry for asking questions.
I'm glad to help but I'm certainly not a vet, I just get bored easily and like to spend a lot of time researching these things that we as pet owners need to know. I know...pathetic huh?....

nothing pathetic bout helping the helpless. And helping the helpless help the helpless. LOL that's kinda why I got these frogs for my 3 yr old. He hunts frogs and toads all summer. After he dehydrated a big beautiful treefrog this last year--- that was it. I put it out by window after a good soak in hopes to see him on our window where bugs gather. Pretty sure an hour hug did it in. So I'm saving the healthy natives by having Whites Tree Frog. And I'm sure u help 10x more people than just members. Good merrit for next life dude. And on that point I wana say u should always take advise of your vet, as long as he sees more than 1 frog every 10 years

How are your sick frogs doing? And...how long have you had frogs for? Not the ones you son has been dehydrating ...just the ones you are trying to keep alive.
