So... I was thinking. I want to try giving a pixie protein powder. Not to make it bigger that it would have been anyway but, for nutritional balance. I cant do roaches and Im worried that they just arnt getting the protein they need for healthy grow. Has anyone tried this before? Thoughts?
Muscle Milk!
Our pixies got the best results with a whey shake in the morning. We also give them slow digesting casein right before bed time for its anti catabolic effects.
Wow, thanksI was hoping that didn't sound crazy... Im glad someone eles has been doing it so I can gleen from your experiences. If you have any other tidbits of information, please feel free to throw them my way...
my uncle who raises parrots gave me a syringe and i inject pure whey protein and fish oil into mice and feed it to the animals

Im serious about the protein, not the steroids.
I have a friend that, back when we were 16, gave his pet rat goliath a regime of steroids for a 6 mo cycle. He also gave it a extremely well balanced diet and a ball for exercise ... well, Goliath grew to be the size of a possum! I cant remember all the exacts but, he was huge!! Im sure I have a pic around here somewhere... Also, rats live 2-3 years on average, Goliath lived 5.5 years and was as healthy on his last day as he was on his first.
Im not a proponent of introducing anything unnatural into my pets body let alone my own..., just a story that I wanted to share.
Oh, and "Battle Frogs" was a cartoon. Not something I was thinking of doing, like battle bots...
Im dont want the wrong impression of me out there...you dont know me other that a few lines about frogs.
yeah guys we didnt really mean that

Yeah make sure you stick with injectables. An oral steroid is too hard on their livers. Use benedryl to keep their receptors clear. And always make sure you follow up their cycle with a good anti estrogen. We don't our male pixies heads to get small and triangular.
or get smaller

Roman pretty much anything you feed a pyxie is going to be high in protein. Whether it be crickets roaches worms or mice, protein is the one thing you don't have to worry about them getting enough of. lol
