How can you tell if your frog is overweight?

How old is your pixie? If it's an adult and you can see it has extra fat or has trouble closing its eyes, then you need to make its diet less fatty. Otherwise the lack of ability to move is another signs. Mice, grubs, and wax worms have been found to make pixies overweight.

I would have to say that they are not fat at all. Very healthy.

    Helga? Female? Are you sure?

Just a thought. Feeding live is cool, but one of those mice could seriously injure the frog. Just saying.

Avatar - I think you would have to make an animated gif, first.

I'm pretty sure females don't get as big as 6 inches SVL, and "she" has some very male characteristics. But I would recommend the opinion of someone who has more experience sexing than I do.

I also agree with the live feeding statement above. Mice have some serious claws and teeth, and pyxies don't always grab them well enough on the first strike to subdue them appropriately.

Nice looking frogs, by the way.
