Anyway my new pacman is about 1.5 inches long and I'm feeding him 1 large cricket every 2 days but yesterday i fed him 2 large crickets and he/she seemed to have downed them just fine does anyone know how many large crickets i should be feeding him and how often?Oh and the crickets are just under 1 inch long.
From what I read, smaller often meals are better then one big meal once a week. My guy is 3 inches and he can down 2 large night crawlers or 4 super worms, or even 6 large crickets, lol. I do this feeding every couple days. So you probably could do about 3 crickets every couple days or even one large night crawler, or 2 super worms. It's up to you on how you want to feed him.
As long as froggy is gaining weight and size, you don't need to worry to much about the specific feeding schedule - horned frogs are pretty forgiving. Personally, I feed baby horned frogs every day and use a combination of the "15 minute rule" and common sense. If I'm tong feeding (which is much more efficient than having them hunt the food), then I feed a few items, until the animal appears less eager to feed. As they grow, you can reduce feeding frequency to every second or third day as juveniles, and then less frequently as adults....
