Hello All!
I have a glass exoterra tank with a screen top that is 12x12x18. It housed a jackson chameleon but unfortunately he is no longer with us. I was wondering what type of frogs would be best in this tank and how many.
I am not new to reptiles, as I have a bearded dragon I have had for 5 years; however, I am new to frogs.
Thanks!
Seems a little small for a Jackson's. Also, chameleons need great amount of ventilation.
For your tank, I am thinking a small treefrog like Dendropsophus ebraccatus or leucophyllatus (hourglass and clown treefrogs respectively) or even tiger-legged monkey frogs, Phyllomedusa hypochondrialis/azurea. The tank will need to have decent amount of ventilation. Not as great as it would be for a chameleon, but decent enough for a treefrog.
