These aren't great but I didn't want to stress her out to much taking snaps. However having taken these and then looking at some pictures of the pacific chorus frog, I'm starting to think that I may not have an American green tree frog at all. What do people think?

Well, that is what caught my eye in your first group of picks. It's hard to tell as it is not all that clear, but my first thought was either a Pacific Chorus frog or a Grey's Treefrog. I've included a pic of my American Green Treefrog, Rongo, for you to compare to Charlie. I have a feeling that Charlie is not a American Green Tree Frog though...

Thank you for the reply and for pointing out that Charlie may be a Grey's tree frog. I have just google this species and this is infact what Charlie is. I saw a picture highlighting the yellow on the legs, I noticed this on Charlie whilst bringing her home today. Looks like I may have some more research to do, oh and to have a word with the pet shop.

Your frog looks very cute, I love the green colour. But I'll love Charlie all the same. x

Where I am, I have never seen a Grey's Treefrog, so I am a bit jealous! Regardless, you have a great set-up for Charlie and she will be a wonderful pet for you to enjoy. I would definitely speak to the pet shop, as they should know what they are selling to their customers, but I bet Charlie will be one lucky frog with you! Best of luck to you and Charlie.

Nice set-up passon13! What are you using for the water dish? I think it looks really cool and natural in there!

s pretty cool. i just buried a bit and had the moss go up to it so he could climb in easy. i just got a new live plant that is on the left and that is his fav. now and hardly uses the fake ones anymore. you have 2 gtf right? hows your setup looking?

Hi Lona, Very nicely done one the setup for your new frog.

As stated, the under tank won't do much for you and I would definitely see if you can return it and bring home a lamp for on top. A small daylight bulb will create more than enough temps (15 watt) and adding a partial covering of the top will allow for the humidity to not escape too fast. Your frog doesn't need a special bulb since he/she is nocturnal.

If you add moss a misting once or twice a day will keep the humidity up.

You probably don't need heat at night as long as you home feels comfortable.
Feeling the inside of the setup with your hand will probably feel cold since its moist. Rely on your temp gauges.

You'll get a lot of awesome advise on this forum so ask.. there are so many experienced people that will step up to help.
Good luck with Charlie and again.. nice setup.

I changed my setup a bit when I lost one of my GTF...unfortunately, Elton passed away a couple of months ago. But Rongo is doing great and seems to be thriving. I love the half coconut idea...I might have to track one of those down!!
