I'd say you are getting bad info. I still stay with my original statement that it is prob a female that is a couple years old. As far as "him" being 8 months old and 5"??? I have 4 month old male Pyxies that are 5" so I'd say they are just throwing that number out there because it sounds right to them. If you like the frog though, who cares if it is male or female. Enjoy it!!!

In the vid I think it looks more male. I've seen males at 5 inches and 8 months(chubbz might be one of them). Sorry to say this but with this particular frog and only going on pics and videos your not going to get a 100% answer.

Here's a hint, If it's male it should be croaking at 5 inches if you hear a dying cow coming from his tank you got a male 100%. If it doesn't though, that doesn't necessarily mean it's female either. My male doesn't croak in the later part of the year.
