Thanks That's a good idea. Steve recently found a new hiding place in his tank and I'm a bit apprehensive. We have fake plants in the tank and one of them is an orchid on a fake rock formation. I wasn't aware of it before, but apparently the rock is hollow and has a sizable hole underneath that he likes to crawl into. I'm afraid he might get stuck, because he's growing so quickly.

As long as he is eating he is likely fine. He needs time to settle in and develop a routine. The more you bother him and stress him out, the greater the chance he will develop problems. He will not get stuck, if he can get in he can get out. Bury a small glass candy dish in the substrate and the excess crickets will fall into it and he can feed at his liesure.
