Hi, I'm Hannah and I recently got a White's Tree Frog. His name is Steve. I've been kind of worried lately though because he is sleeping all the time. I know they are nocturnal, but even at night all he does is sleep. Does anyone know what might be wrong? Could he be too cold?

Hi Hannah, Could be just the time of year. My Red Eyes are only active about 4 - 6 hours at night and sometimes one might only get out for an hour or two to eat and goes right back to sleep.

Does the frog ever eat for you and are you keeping it warm enough? If it's not eating then you need to do something in a hurry.

John Clare: He's eating. We put around ten crickets in his tank once a week and he eats about half the in two or three days. Could he be overeating? And we just put frog moss into his tank. Could the crickets be under the moss? We get the biggest ones.

You can try feeding in a cricket bowl (any smooth cereal type bowl) and there will be less amounts of them roaming around the tank this way. You can then remove them each morning for use the next night. You will definitely end up with some running around the tank no matter how you feed them.

I like the bowl since I can usually tell if my guys are eating which seems to be no problem so far.
I have plenty of loose crickets in my setup and occasionally I'll remove the leaf litter to get them moving so the frogs can hunt them.
