Adrian, are you breeding your frogs?
No, I actually just got my two Stolzmanni pacmans just recently and I am interested in breeding them if I have a boy and a girl. I was hoping someone locally would know how to do that so I could see their setup. Mine are both babies right now so I've got time to figure it out.
Theres basically two ways u can do it go all out or not weve tryed a way where we poke holes in a gallon jug and connect a water pump to recreate the rain effect heres a cool rainchamber vid:YouTube - New RC.wmv
Epicfrogman is right having a group instead of just a pair will greatly increase your chances of success. For years I've pondered the idea of breeding either budgett's pacmans or pyxies but the idea of all those babies kind of discourages me from going through with it.
Hank(mercedesherp) has bred ceratophry's before He'd probably be the best guy on the forum to talk about it with. Hank if you read this, I'm not sure if you got my email but I greatly appreciate that article you sent. It was great.
OH the guy who posted that vid is the same guy who's female produced all the Caatinga horned frogs in captivity.
Yes I understand the ratios needed for breeding, but I'm not in this for a business. I have no desire to "make money" off my frogs. I will try it and if I happen to have a pair and if it works out great, but if not no big deal. I'm not going to buy more to increase my odds as its not why I got them in the first place. My red eyes will be my first breeding project and then I 'll see from there.
Just trying to help,it's not all about making money..
