    Default Burn or something else?

    Hi all,
While feeding tonight I noticed my one Whites Tree Frog has a white mark on its head..I am thinking burn but not sure. Any thoughts on this mark near his head?

I forgot to mention... he sleeps on the electrical splitter next to the Zoo Med Florescent lamp which generates little heat but is close to the night lamp that does get hot.

    Hey Don,

It is really hard to tell from the picture because of the shade of the plant. Would you be able to take another clear picture of his head. I know it's hard with a hopping froggie.
It could be a burn or disscoloration of the skin from the heat of the lamp.....hope he's ok. Post another pic and we can have a clear view to try and determine.

Trying not to disturb him, he is actually acting very normal except when I went to take the 1st pic. All the frogs usually don't budge when I open a glass door but that time they all ran and hid so for this pic I left be and took with a flashlight for lighting.

I should note that this is the 3nd night I have been feeding with a cricket bowl and the crickets were gone in only a few minutes and I am beginning to wonder if we had a frog collision when they attacked the bowl.

Could be....lol Do frogs get green bruises?!?!?!

From the picture it doesn't look like the skin is broken, inflamed or blistered....as it would be from a burn. It just looks discolored.
Could just be the skin changing color....or adapting to temp, maybe from the lamp as well. One of the froggie experts here would need to take a look.

I'm glad to hear that he is acting normally and it does not appear to bother him. He may just be fine.
