I have a White's tree frog. And about 2 weeks ago I noticed what seemed like a chunk of flesh missing from his leg. I have a reptile store that I deal with and they said they would treat him for a week. After the week was done they told me they weren't sure what it was, and that the swelling isn't going down. But the wound seemed to be healing. They told me I can put a small amount of Polysporin or Melafix. So I tried Melafix. Now I notice that the skin around it is getting dark. And there's small veins showing around it. His leg is larger than the other. But it doesn't seem to be bothering him. He jumps, climbs and eats. Nothing in his attitude or habits has changed. At first I was worried it was something bacterial. So I cleaned out the tank and threw away a lot of older decorations. He's in an 24x18x18 tank with a smaller White Lipped tree frog who shows no sign of any wounds or disease, though I hardly ever see him.
I took pictures.
I hope someone can help.
