I wouldn't bother with a misting system for only one viv, especially for red eyes.

I agree too. I would only bother with a misting system for a large display terrarium or for a sequence of terrariums. I just got my first misting system going yesterday for a large living room dart frog display tank. I'm using a misting system only because the terrarium has a large vent to keep the glass clear and the regular misting is necessary to keep the humidity level up.

After reading some reviews online it seems that mistaking is more professional. Although I really like that the monsoon is all one compact unit with timer, pump and water container all in one. That alone might push me in its direction simply because I don't have a place to hide a bucket of water. If my terrariums aren't aesthetically pleasing they might get booted out of the house. There's really onl three reasons to get a misting system:
1. Its just cool to have and you've got extra money
2. You can go on vacation for a week without a pet sitter.
3. Red eyes are just the beginning and you plan on many more frog tanks and breeding and...
I argee with you guys, you do have a point. I need it because I go on vacation and its easier for the person whos watching the frogs to just turn it on and forget about. I was leaning towards the exo terra monsoon because its affordable and its a timer and etc. Like what cheri said. I also have 2 terraiums the mist so it would be easy for me cause I am not at home in the day time. Thanks for helping me out![]()
