Hello! Welcome. This is a great forum, and everyone is nice. You'll get all the info you need and plenty of advice. It's good you're spending the time to find out what you need to know.

I agree that mixing species is bad, for the reasons John mentioned, but it would be easy to make happy homes for all of them.

thanks for the info and being nice! =)

i had suspicions about mixing species, however the person i got the firebelly from (the one that started it all) had it in the same tank as another tree frog and maybe a lizard or two, anyway, i was under the impression it was okay. they're pretty big animal people, too, so questioning them didn't really cross my mind.

since that's been cleared up, how big of a space would a firebelly need?

That setup actually looks good for the fire belly. The only thing I would add would be a rock in the water so the toad could have a resting spot and still be in the water. The tree frogs will need enclosures with height and lot of branches and big leafy plants. They also just need a water bowl to soak it. It should be shallow. Why don't you post some pictures of them..maybe we can help you to identify them so that we can provide the proper advice for their care. They are a little more picky when it comes to temp and humidity requirements than the fire bellies.

I usually suggest 10 gallon tanks for fire-bellied toads, but I also suggest more than just one. They're fun to watch in a group. I agree with Cheri about land for the toad.

If the treefrogs are the same species, they can be in the same tank, but otherwise you'll need two. Once we see pics, we'll definitely be able to help.
