Too cute!!! Look at his big ol eyes! I thought piebalds were rare. How did you come by another one so quickly? Love the name btw.

I got another one quickly by chance actually.

I contacted the breeder who had sold me Cyclone, the piebald who had passed away, to let them know he had died. ( I was still sniffling from crying but I felt they had to know)

They actually offered me another one with a genetic deformity because we had done a lot of business together (frog-wise) over the past year.


I named him Igor due to his little spinal twist - - it gives him a perpetual "Huh??" expression that I find adorable.

I noticed that Cyclone only had one eye. And now Igor has a spinal twist. Are deformities common among the piebalds?

To be honest, I have no idea.... there is practically no information on piebald acf at all....basically all I can find are x laevis care sheets and that's it for information

I'm probably wrong but I think that Piebald stems from the same type of gene as certain types of Albinism and if I'm not mistaken certain types of Albinism are linked with deformities. Again, I could be wrong, but that's what I think.
