    Default Pac man's throat

I noticed while feeding my frogs that my pac man has a fat little extra chin that hangs down and so tonight i got a hold of him to look at it and there is a buldge in the back of his throat. I poked at it and it was hard and it comes to kind of a point. Is this a part of his anatomy? like cartilage or bone or something? I have never noticed it on any of my other's as they never had the extra flap on the throat at this age to catch my attention.
