I noticed two white growths on my pyxie about 2 weeks ago. One went away and the other hasn't. What is this? I have never seen this before.
Looks like a fungus of some sort to me. I am sure someone with more knowledge will help soon though.
Never seen that before either. Does it appear to be a hard growth or a soft growth? I would give the frog the lamisil AT treatment and also put some neosporin on it for starters. Since you said there were two "growths" and one went away I would agree it sounds like some type of fungus though what type I couldn't tell you. Since the other went away it is probably fixable too. I once had a pipa pipa with two bright yellow "assumed" fungal spots on its back. Didn't seem to bother it and they never got bigger or smaller(this was before the lamisil AT treatment was used so I don't know if that would have cleared it up or not). Currently have a large female southern toad with a internal tumor that appears about the size of a pea on its belly. Had that one for several years without issues. Like people, frogs occasionally have little oddities that may or may not cause issues.
