Just wondering because I have my guy for exactly a month now and has fed him only twice using chicks. Funny thing is he actually looks a little chubbier than before.
We just received our first adult male this weekend and are very happy with his feeding response! We purchased him from a snake guy that bred his own rats and mice and I think that you can fill in the rest of this. Needless to say, I was scared to death that he wouldn't accept insects beings that he had hardly ever been offered any but was pleased to see that he pounced on adult male dubia immediately. The first day/night, he consumed about 18-20 male dubia and last night, another 12-14 large nymphs. I am going to try again this evening just to see if he is still hungry. Now that I have him on this "heart healthy" diet, my big ole boy will probably not see another mouse for a long time. I want all of that crud to get out of his system if at all possible.
oh man! how much does he weigh!
African Bullfrogs, Clawed Frogs, Salamanders, Newts, Bearded Dragons,
I have an adult male that I feed no more often than every 3 days. I feed a staple of mostly roaches, plus nightcrawlers. He got two hoppers on Saturday (his first mice since I purchased him in January) and I probably won't feed him again until this weekend. No matter how often I feed him, he always has a tremendous feeding response, and he is in good body condition (not overweight, not skinny).
i used to feed mine a baby rat a week when i had a rat colonie then i started breedign worms

I feed Chubbz 3-4 times a week. If I go any longer than that it's just plain SCARY to feed him. hahaha
