Eh, more then likely, those are wild caught and I would stay away with them. Just because they are "long term captive" doesn't mean that they won't up and die on you without any warning. Take it from someone that has lost a couple $200 frogs. They can be feeding fine, look great, etc and just be sprawled out dead one day. These guys are getting something in the wild that we can't offer them with insects. Stay with captive bred as anyone that has ever bought them captive bred, seem to rave over them.

If I could of I would still pickup that first frog anyway. Even if you get a CB it's no guaranteed that it won't drop dead on you one day.

@ Jeff k and Eel Noob, your guys both have a good point. But i think we should still try to work on this frog.and hopefully one day it will get as popular like the other horned frogs.

ive had 2 cornutas before and they died. One was wild caught and one was CB. They are picky as hell and one of mine only wanted to eat frogs..

    I prefer the fantasy

Noob: Yes I know that any of them can just up and die but like I mentioned, I bought a couple of amazing, high dollar green cornuta's. One was a deeper green, the other a neon green. The neon green was suppose to have been captive for 2+ years and the same with the deeper green. Well the neon green, refused food altogether. I offered 6 different items and tried everything to no avail. It died within a week. The deeper green, ate like a champ and just up and died one day about 2 months into owning it.

Fishy: I LOVE the cornuta and am not against buying it but based on my personal experience, from now on, I will only buy ones that I know without a doubt are captive bred.

Epic: I love the Fantasy's too. All the things you love about the cornuta, with the ease of care of a Pac. It's win/win.

This is the only semi-big fantasy I have seen myself. Taken from an ad on kingsnake.

No they are all a mix. The highest green one I wanted to keep. Here's a pic of the other two. I don't keep them in paper towel all the time. I'm treating everyone for chrytid for the hell of it.
