Hi all,
For the past few months I have been keeping a group of 4 Mallorcan Midwife Toads, which were all doing very well, eating everything that went into the tank and remaining very plump and active. However, upon opening the tank this evening I found the largest toad (2.5cm) dead under the cork bark. The only difference I have noticed is that the skin has thinned slightly in small patches on its back and belly. I have checked all the other toads and all still seem healthy, and have eaten plenty of crickets today. Does anyone have any idea of what could have caused the death and what I could do to prevent it ever occuring in the future?
Thanks, George.
