Been doing some research and have come up with some questions.
First if you use greatstuff what do you cover it with?
Second, what are the best PDF for a beginner?
Third, is there a list of plants which are safe for PDFs? I keep a lot of aquatic plants which can be grown immersed (roots wet) are those going to be safe for PDF's?
Fourth, some say its important to make sure any water (pond, etc) is kept less than an inch deep and some say not to risk it at all. Then I look at some viv's and see that there is fairly deep water areas. What are the pros and cons of each?
Also any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Josh
PDF? Public Display of Frogs?
Oh poison dart frogs. The best beginner darts are Dendrobates leucomelas, D. tinctorius, and D auratus.
I think most bromeliads are fine. So are ferns, spathiphyllum, and ficus. I am not a plant expert by anyone's definition, those are just the plants I keep.
Darts have a reputation of being bad swimmers, that being sad, I have never seen one drown.
In the future try not to abbrieviate, it leads to confusion. It actually took me a few seconds to figure out what PDF meant, other than an Adobe file.
Also, please post you location and country in your profile. It helps us to help you better.
My apologies I will try not to abbreviate in the future
I agree with Kurt. I would add that as far as plants go, Pothos is a great choice. It is a low-level vining plant. It grows very fast and is a hardy plant. It is perfect for creating visual barriers. I bought a HUGE potted pothos plant for less than $8.
