So, I have a Tiger Leg Monkey Frog frog (Phyllomedusa Hypochondralis) and he's never green, he's always brown and now today he was turning grey blue...is this a sign of an adverse reaction to something? Does anyone know id this is a problem?
- I attached a file ( a jpeg of him turning grey blue) , it's my first time posting a pic i hope it worked.
Nothing to worry about, that is a part of their natural color range. I can go look in my tiger leg group and find frogs ranging from bright green, dark green, brown, and blue most of the time, and they frequently change shades.
Here are a few shots I just took from my group to show you what I mean:
thank you very much. I was just worried because recently he went through a sever case of dehydration due to a roommate accidentally using my freshwater container to store vodka, I spent alot of time nursing him back to health and holding his little nose out of the water. It was very stressful. I couldn't believe it happened I was VERY ANGRY. But he's doing great now. I have a very good terrarium setup. I was just worried he was suffering from an organ issue due to the dehydration. But I'm glad to here it's just a natural shade. Thank You very much Tom.
