Now he has fungus

So Jaba my whites tree frog had an edema or something because of a poor diet which I corrected once some forum member's helped me on the right track.

Well during his recovery he spent 95% of his time in his coconut, and it gets really moist in there and I know I should have taken it out but I didnt want to upset him. So now he has fungus on his back, little white specs that arnt normal for him. My camera is dea so heres what they look like.

This is not my frog just one that has fungus like his.





His look like that except he doesnt have as many and his are a little bigger in size.


How do I treat it? I have baytril left over that the vet gave me for him would that help?

No, Baytril doesn't help in this situation, if it is indeed a fungal infection. I use a terbinafine hydrochloride (Lamisil) solution to treat fungal infections. I mix 1 ml terbinafine hydrochloride per 200 ml of distilled water, then let the frog soak in it for ten minutes daily for the next ten days.

Also what is that substate you have him on. It doesn't look safe. Depending upon what kind of wood it is, it could be the possible cause of these spots. I can't say for sure.

Can you post a picture of YOUR frog? I would not be so quick to medicate if the only evidence of fungus is pale green spots. Honestly I would be more inclined to think that those spots have something to do with temperature if they look like the ones in that photo you posted. Are the spots raised? Are they in the same spots for more then 24hrs? Try placing your frog in a light green area of its enclosure and see if his colors change. Also what are your temps and humidity at?
