I'm new here. I have one chubby frog who I found or rather he found me, hopped right into my lap while I was sitting outside.I know he had to have been someones pet, and I'm guessing someone got tired of him and let him loose.
Anyway I've had him since Sept 20th, and I absolutely adore him!! The issue is I haven't found any consistent info on them, and no one locally seems to truly no. They are sold at pet store here but they said I should keep the temp at 80-85F during the day and 65-70F during the night. Then a local reptile store told me to keep him above 70F but below 80F at all times.
I have been keeping him in the 70's (never below 70) lower 70's at night, upper 70's during the day. Can anyone tell me what temp you keep yours at?
Thanks,
~Aly
I don't keep this frog right now but you should be keeping it as the second store told you - 70s F (early 20s Celsius) during the day, and if possible, a slighty drop at night.

I concur.
I'm thinking about getting a chubby frog at some point. So you guys would disagree with the wikipedia page that says they need a termperature of 80-85 F? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chubby_frog
I know wikipedia obvisouly isn't exactly a great reliable source...
Edit-didn't read the original post closely enough, and I see now my question was already addressed.
Not necessarily true. I live in a place surrounded by chubbies and it is usually about 27 degrees celsius at night, and about 26 degrees celsius when it rains, during and after. These are variable frogs which can likely be kept at a really large range of temperatures. It is 28 degrees celsius in the day typically, but one should note that the chubbies are underground during this period of time. Just so for discussion sake. In the meantime, keep your chubbies at the temperatures determined by other more experienced forum members.
