Good Evening,
I am hoping someone can help me with a problem with one of my Dumpy Frogs. He is getting open sores on the top of his head. The heal pretty quickly, but then another will appear. It looks like something has been biting him. The all have been located in one area at the top right of his head. It has been happening for about 4-5 days. He was alone in the tank for several months and we just recently got another Dumpy... they don't really interact, so I don't think that it is the other frog biting him, but don't know for sure. There are a few uneaten crickets in the tank as well... could that be it?
Like I said, the sores heal pretty quickly... within a day or so they have started healing and the first one was completely gone within 3 days. I am afraid that they may become infected.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.

Without photos of the frog and it's enclosure I will hazard a guess at best. Is it rubbing on any of the tank furniture? Does it get startled and run into the tank or furniture? Does it jump around and hit anything? Crickets can bite your frogs but usually don't cause a lot of damage and it should be more random, but it is a possibility.
Good Morning All,
I really appreciate everyone's help and suggestions. I have uploaded a photo of my frog this morning. As you can see, the wounds are healing pretty fast... the two you can see in the photo just occurred last evening.
He pretty much hangs out on the branch that you see in the photo... sometimes he goes down to the waterfall/pool area, but he doesn't really move around the enclosure too much.
Thanks again.

Those appear to be cricket bites. They should be treated with an antibiotic cream to prevent infection. Consult a frog savy vet for help.
Will do! Thank you.
