What's in the dish? My red-eyes ignore things like mealworms, waxworms, and so on. If you are feeding him these or similar, stop. Use crickets, moths, maybe cockroaches. They do turn dark after lights out. I wouldn't handle him too much, red-eyes are not as tolerent of handling as White's are. Also you said you have only had him for three days, I wouldn't panic at this point. Let him settle in and let us know in a week what is happening.

oh no dont worry they are small crickets. i feed all my frogs crickets. and i only handled when it was necessary but yeah he is currently isolated from everyone else, but i go in there maybe once or twice a day, just to turn the lights on and off. but i dont allow anyone else in there, because of loud noises, etc. but the reason i was concerned was because my other 2 A. Callidryas ate the 2nd night they were here. so i just got a bit worried, plus he is a juvenile and should be eating more than the adults because he is growing but i will give him another few days.

Very good. Do you know his origin? Is he CB or WC?

Not really. A heavy gastrointestinal parasite load could be an indication of a wild origin, but then again a captive bred animal could pick it up in a pet store whose hygiene protocols are not up to snuff.

yeah well the good news is, hes finally starting to be active. when i turned the light out in his tank, i decided to nudge him awake. last night i woke around 5 and it sucked but anyways i went to checko on him. i turned the room light on, not his tank light so i could see if he went back to sleep. i saw him by his water dish and his eyes were wide open andim assuming he had been up since the time i nudged him awake(11:30p.m.) but the thing is, none of the crickets seemed to be missing so he either didnt find the feeding dish or he didnt want to eat so i dont know.
