Not unless the fish are Tuna...

Captive bred feeder fish won't have any mercury. Mercury bio-accumulates up the food chain, so the larger predatory fish are the ones that have measureable mercury, like tuna or large-mouth bass.

If you are only feeding your pacman feeder fish, that may be a problem in itself. Why? Feeder fish, at the pet stores, a loaded with bacteria and parasites. Feeding only feeder fish can also cause vitamin deficiencies in your pacman's diet.
Just saying.....
I had one 15 years ago and decided to keep mine in only water and feed it fish. It died shortly after. Was it something in the fish? Was it what was most likely tap water? (forgive me, i was 14 and didnt have cool forums like this for info) i have no idea.
Not at all. I went to a reptile show and saw a guy keeping them in just water and he said they were perfectly fine that way. So i put him in a bit of water and then started just feeding him fish. Seemed to be ok until one day I came home and it was on its back. Regardless of the water, i kept him in moss before that, and I'm not sure what kind of heating it had. I was very ignorant.
Thank you all for the info. I will try my best to give him a varied diet.![]()
