Kurt might be on to something - it sounds like an injury. Not much you can do for it - can you take a photo and does the leg appear otherwise normal?

Yes he seems normal other than holding his left front leg close to his body. He actively chases crickets and has been eating the wax worms. I just noticed it yesterday when I got home from work and was unable to find anything on the internet other than could be red leg...scary. This morning I saw him bathing himself using that leg however he will not "walk" on it.

Thank you for your responses (Kurt that is for you too). I will post pictures of Dol and Phin so you all can see them. I am excited to learn from everyone as my frogs get older.

You're welcome. A radiograph will show if the limb is broken, but I wonder if a vet can fix it?

It would be very hard for a vet to mend. Amphibians are very good at regeneration, even metamorphosed ones - provided the leg is not outwardly injured and the frog is otherwise healthy, with a healthy appetite, it will probably recover. Last night I found a Texas toad (Bufo speciosus) missing the lower part of her front right leg (it had obviously been bitten off or lost judging by the way the tissue had grown over the elbow stump a long time ago - it was not a deformed toad). She was just fine and energetic and the injury was quite old. If she can deal with such a drastic change then I think your frog will do fine.
